Meet People

We offer tea and snacks every Wednesday during the summer and winter grading periods in the Common Room, as well as monthly VMM drinks, VMM Movie Nights, and other social events. Come by and meet new people outside your research group. Our events are open to members and non-members alike.

Have a say

VMM holds 5 seats at the Department Conference (DK), our department’s highest decision-making body, as well as 3 seats in the Teaching Conference (UK). If you have ideas about what should change, or want to be a representative yourself, please get involved!

How to become a member of VMM

You become a member of VMM you have to be a member of the Academic Association of Scientific Staff at ETH Zurich (AVETH). This can be done either by registering through mystudies at the beginning of each semester or using the form here. Members can vote in the General Assembly and can run for the board.
