The association of the mid-level academic faculty at D-MATH (in German “Verein des akademischen Mittelbaus”, VMM) was founded in January 2011 to protect the interests of doctoral students, assistants and scientific staff at D-MATH and to represent them both
internally and externally.

Association members are all mid-level faculty of D-MATH who are members of AVETH. The general assemblies are open to the public and take place annually. In these meetings, the board and representatives as well as their deputies to the teaching commission (UK), the teaching conference (UKonf) and the department conference (DK) are elected.

Moreover, the association organises social events such as apéros and game nights on a regular basis.
